Mother hands out goodies to fellow passengers on plane

‘Please use them when it’s too noisy because of me’: Thoughtful mother hands out 200 bags of candy and earplugs to fellow plane passengers in case her baby cries on board

The passengers aboard weren’t too thrilled to see such a young baby aboard their long flight. But after takeoff the last thing they expected was mom to go down each and every aisle handing them a note and baggie soon making headlines.

Being a parent means undertaking responsibilities and putting actions into work, whenever there is need of them. You always have to be prepared to find your way out of an unpleasant situation that you kid, especially baby, might put you in.

When you are home you can easily solve the issues concerning your kids. However, when you travel and you have to move around the globe, even the minor problems can be embarrassing or even quite serious. All of these things were taken into consideration by a young mother that travelled from Korea to the United States.

This story would not have been known to us if Dave Corona did not share the story and the images on Facebook. The normal regular flight from Korea to the States turned out to be quite uncommon and very surprising.

The woman was travelling from Seoul, South Korea, to San Francisco, California, with her fourth-month-old when she decided to give out the packs, which contained a note, ear plugs and a selection of sweets.

One of the passengers on the flight, Dave Corona, posted photos of the ‘touching gesture’ and commented that he didn’t hear a ‘peep’ out of the child once.

The note says:

This impressed and pleasantly surprised all the passengers. They marvelled at the mother’s attention to details and care for other people’s comfort. Buying all those candies, printing and cutting all those notes is a time-consuming task, but the mother endured all of that just for the baby and passengers’ well being. Incredible!

Since Dave was a cameraman, he shot some photos and shared the story on-line. This story amazed thousands of people. Even though the baby was calm and did not cry during the flight, the gifts and the note were still recognized and appreciated by all passengers. Their surprise was obvious.

While the idea was embraced by the passengers, many social media commenters were torn over whether the idea was necessary at all.

‘That was a nice gesture, but I think people need to be more understanding on flights and not make parents and their children feel so unwelcome on flights. We were all babies at one point in life,’ one woman wrote.

‘This is just sad. She doesn’t need to do such a thing. We people should understand her,’ another added.

But others said they would have appreciated such a move.

‘What a great and smart idea,’ said one person.

‘Just being able to put together 200 care packages with a small infant around is super impressive! And of course, Murphy’s Law is alive and well,’ another said.

There are not many people like this mother in the world. She deserves all words of compliments and admiration. Well done!
